Welcome to the MERI Startup Hub website (including all subdomains, the “Site”), operated by MERI Startup Hub Management and its affiliates (referred to as “we”, “us”, or “our”). Our Site offers information about our organization, people, application process, tools for applicants, discussion forums, and profiles of founders and companies who have participated in our program.

PLEASE NOTE THESE TERMS OF USE INCLUDE AN ARBITRATION AGREEMENT. THIS MEANS YOU AGREE TO RESOLVE ANY DISPUTES WITH MERI STARTUP HUB THROUGH BINDING ARBITRATION RATHER THAN THROUGH COURT PROCEEDINGS, EXCEPT FOR CERTAIN LIMITED CIRCUMSTANCES. UNDER THIS AGREEMENT, (1) YOU AGREE TO PURSUE CLAIMS AGAINST MERI STARTUP HUB INDIVIDUALLY, NOT AS A PART OF ANY CLASS ACTION, AND (2) YOU AGREE TO SEEK RELIEF ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS.

We reserve the right to change or modify portions of these Terms of Use at any time. If we do so, we will post the changes on this page and indicate the date of the last revision. Additionally, we will notify you through the Site interface, email, or other reasonable means. Changes will take effect no earlier than fourteen (14) days after they are posted, unless they are related to new Site functions or legal requirements, in which case they will be effective immediately. Your continued use of the Site after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms of Use.

Access and Use of the Site

Your Registration Responsibilities To access certain features of the Site, you may need to register with MERI Startup Hub. By registering, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information about yourself as requested in the registration form. Your registration data and other information are governed by our Privacy Policy. If you are under 13 years old, you are not permitted to register on the Site.

Member Account, Password, and Security You are responsible for keeping your password and account secure and confidential. You are fully responsible for any activities that occur under your account. You agree to (a) notify MERI Startup Hub immediately if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account or breach of security, and (b) ensure that you log out of your account after each session. MERI Startup Hub is not liable for any loss or damage resulting from your failure to comply with these security measures.

Site Modifications

MERI Startup Hub reserves the right to modify or permanently or temporarily discontinue the Site (or any part of it) with or without notice. You agree that MERI Startup Hub will not be held liable to you or any third party for any changes, suspensions, or discontinuations of the Site.

General Practices Regarding Use and Storage

You acknowledge that MERI Startup Hub may establish general practices and limitations regarding the use of the Site. This includes setting maximum periods for data retention and allocating storage space on our servers. You agree that MERI Startup Hub is not responsible for the deletion or failure to store any data or content you maintain or upload on the Site. MERI Startup Hub reserves the right to deactivate inactive accounts. These general practices and limitations may be changed at any time at MERI Startup Hub’s sole discretion, with or without notice.

No Refund Policy

All purchases made on this website are final and non-refundable. We do not offer refunds, exchanges, or cancellations once an order is confirmed, except as required by applicable law. By completing a transaction, you acknowledge and agree to this no-refund policy.

Conditions Of Use

  1. User Conduct 

In addition to any specific guidelines or policies governing parts of the Site, you agree to adhere to the following conditions when using it. You are solely responsible for all content you upload, post, publish, or display (“upload”) or transmit via the Site. The following actions are illegal or prohibited

  • Emailing or uploading any content that
  • Infringes on intellectual property or other proprietary rights.
  • You do not have the right to upload under any law or contractual relationship.
  • Contains viruses or other harmful computer code.
  • Poses privacy or security risks to others.
  • Constitutes unsolicited advertising, spam, or other forms of solicitation.
  • Is unlawful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or objectionable.
  • Interferes with others’ use or enjoyment of the Site or may harm MERI Startup Hub or its users.

You also agree not to

  • Interfere with or disrupt the Site, its servers, or connected networks.
  • Violate any local, state, national, or international laws or regulations.
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation.
  • Solicit personal information from anyone under 18.
  • Harvest or collect other users’ contact information for unsolicited communications.
  • Advertise goods or services for unauthorized business purposes.
  • Promote criminal activities or provide instructions for illegal activities.
  • Attempt to access materials or information through unauthorized means.

MERI Startup Hub reserves the right to investigate and take legal action against violators, including removing offending content, suspending or terminating accounts, and reporting violations to law enforcement authorities.

  1. General Practices Regarding Use and Storage

You recognize that MERI Startup Hub may set general practices and limits for using the Site, including the maximum duration for data retention and the storage space allocated on Y Combinator’s servers. You agree that MERI Startup Hub bears no responsibility for deleting or failing to store any data or content maintained or uploaded by the Site. You acknowledge that MERI Startup Hub reserves the right to deactivate inactive accounts and to change these practices and limits at its discretion, with or without notice.

  1. Commercial Use 

Unless expressly authorized, you agree not to use any part of the Site for commercial purposes. This includes displaying, distributing, licensing, reproducing, modifying, selling, or promoting any aspect of the Site. Commercial activities such as buying, exchanging, or selling upvotes, comments, submissions, accounts, karma, or content are strictly prohibited and may result in legal action.

Intellectual Property Rights

Site Content, Software, and Trademarks You acknowledge that the Site may contain content protected by intellectual property laws. Except as authorized, you agree not to modify, copy, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Site Content. You also agree not to use data mining or similar methods to extract information from the Site. Any use of the Site beyond what is authorized is prohibited.

The trademarks of MERI Startup Hub are owned by MERI Startup Hub. Other trademarks displayed on the Site may belong to their respective owners and are not endorsed by or affiliated with MERI Startup Hub. You are not granted any right to use MERI Startup Hub Trademarks without prior written permission. All benefits from the use of MERI Startup Hub Trademarks belong exclusively to MERI Startup Hub.

Third Party Material 

MERI Startup Hub will not be liable for any content or materials provided by third parties, including founders, investors, or other users. This includes any errors or omissions in such content, and any loss or damage resulting from its use. You acknowledge that MERI Startup Hub does not pre-screen content but reserves the right to refuse or remove any content available via the Site that violates these Terms of Use or is deemed objectionable.

User Content Transmitted Through the Site Regarding content or materials you upload or share through the Site (“User Content”), you represent that you own all rights to such User Content. By uploading User Content, you grant MERI Startup Hub a license to use it for any purpose. Please review the Privacy Policy for information on how application data is treated.

You agree that any feedback or information provided to MERI Startup Hub is non-confidential and may be used without acknowledgment or compensation. MERI Startup Hub may preserve and disclose content if required by law, to enforce these Terms of Use, respond to claims of third-party rights violation, or protect the rights and safety of Y Combinator, its users, and the public.

You understand that technical processing and transmission of the Site, including your content, may involve transmissions over networks and changes to conform to technical requirements.

Third Party Websites

The Site may contain links or access to third-party sites, resources, or applications. MERI Startup Hub does not control these and does not endorse them. MERI Startup Hub is not responsible for any damage or loss caused by or in connection with the use of or reliance on any content, events, goods, or services available through these sites, resources, or applications. Any transactions or interactions you have with third parties while using the Site are solely between you and the third party, and MERI Startup Hub is not liable for any loss or claim arising from such dealings.

Indemnity and Release 

You agree to indemnify and hold MERI Startup Hub and its affiliates, officers, employees, directors, and agents harmless from any losses, damages, expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees), claims, actions, or injuries arising from your use of the Site, User Content, your applications to MERI Startup Hub, or any violation of these Terms of Use or the rights of others. You also release MERI Startup Hub from any such claims or liabilities.

Disclaimer And Limited Liability

Your use of the MERI Startup Hub website is at your own risk. The website is provided on an “as is” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law

  • MERI Startup Hub disclaims all liability whatsoever, whether arising in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise, in relation to the website; and

  • Some services displayed on this Website may be offered by Third-Party Value Partners.
  • The Company shall not in any manner resolve or mediate any dispute or disagreement between the user/startups and Third-Party Value Partners.
  • This Website does not make any representation regarding the services offered by the Third-Party Value Partners displayed on this Website.
  • You understand, acknowledge, and accept that the Company shall not be held liable in any manner for actions, omissions, misconduct, fraud, or negligence of Third-Party Value Partners.
  • This Website does not guarantee service quality, damages, price estimates, etc. However, the Website may only display an estimate for Services.
  • In the event you avail of our Services, you shall acknowledge MERI Startup Hub in your success stories.
  • You acknowledge entering into and executing separate agreements (“Agreements”), if required by MERI Startup Hub for all or any of the Services you wish to avail from MERI Startup Hub.

Any feedback you provide to this Website shall be considered non-confidential. MERI Startup Hub shall be free to use such information on an unrestricted basis. By submitting the feedback, you agree that the Company is not under any obligation of confidentiality, express or implied, with respect to the feedback.

Miscellaneous

  • The parties have read and understood these Terms and agree that it, along with any document referred to herein and other participating documents, constitutes the complete and exclusive statement of the Terms between them regarding the subject matter herein. It supersedes all proposals, representations, understandings, including any prior agreements, whether oral or written, and all other communications between them relating thereto.
  • The Startup hereby agrees and acknowledges not to enter into a similar agreement, covenant, or arrangement with any third party, whereas MERI Startup Hub has the right to enter into similar agreements or arrangements to this Agreement.
  • The Startup shall not assign, nor attempt to assign, any of its obligations or rights or transfer by novation any of its rights and obligations under this Agreement without the prior written consent of MERI Startup Hub. On the other hand, MERI Startup Hub may, in writing to the Startup (a) assign any of its rights; or (b) transfer by novation any of its rights and obligations under this Agreement to any other person.
  • The parties agree and acknowledge to work as independent contractors, and nothing under this Agreement shall constitute any relationship, including but not limited to employer-employee, joint venture, or any other relationship.
  • The failure of either party hereto at any time to enforce performance by the other party of any provision of this Agreement shall in no way affect such party’s rights thereafter to enforce the same. Nor shall the waiver by either party of any breach of any provision hereof be deemed to be a waiver by such party of any other breach of the same or any other provision hereof.
